Yuko is a documentary director who leads a production team to conduct a multi-faceted investigation into a bullied female student's suicide three years ago, and filmed around several families who lost their loved ones. She is determined to restore the whole story of the incident, even clashing with the conservative TV station management, and successfully gaining the trust of her interviewees. However, she discovered that her father, Kinoshita, who runs a cram school, made a serious mistake. All this provided her with a new perspective, making her documentary more profound and even winning praise from producers and TV stations. But unexpected things happened one after another, causing Yuko to lose balance in her view of truth and lies, forcing her to make a life-changing decision.
