Hu Tiantian (played by Zhao Jiamin) predicted in the chess game that the entire Hu family would be exterminated. In order to change her fate, Tiantian wins over the down-and-out prince Su Yanli (played by Kurosawa) who has also experienced "rebirth", and strives to guide the villain brother to do good. Unexpectedly, Su Yanli might be the culprit who destroyed the Hu family. During the extreme tug of war between the two, Tiantian slowly learns about the fateful connection between Su Yanli and her.
