The prelude of the story begins in the first year of junior high school. Futaba Yoshioka (voiced by Maaya Uchida), a cute girl, is not good at dealing with boys and always finds boys annoying. Only Tanaka from the next class is a special existence in her eyes. However, the immature love affair with Tanaka withered with his transfer to another school before it even began. In the blink of an eye, Futaba is already a freshman in high school. Because she was once excluded by the girls in her class in junior high school, she decided to disguise her original appearance. During an ordinary break, she accidentally met a boy who looked very much like Tanaka. His height and voice were very different from those in junior high school. Is this boy named Mabuchi Kou (voiced by Yuki Kaji) the shy and delicate Tanaka back then? With a pounding heart, the immature and sparkling youth has begun.
