Chen Jiaju (Jackie Chan), a police officer trained in special police, is honest and works hard to solve cases, often ignoring his girlfriend (Maggie Cheung). During a certain encirclement and suppression operation, Chen Jiaju arrested the drug lord Zhu Tao, but due to the sudden disappearance of the witness (Zhu Tao's secretary) Selena (Lin Qingxia), he was unable to bring him to justice, and Chen Jiaju was demoted.
