Introduction
The film is based on a true story. On January 15, 2009, Sully (Tom Hanks) was the captain of US Airways Flight 1549. Two minutes after takeoff, the plane was attacked by birds and both engines shut down. Sully decided to make an emergency landing on the Hudson River, and all 155 people survived. However, subsequent investigations showed that he made the wrong decision and thought he could have chosen to return to LaGuardia Airport. What exactly happened in the plane?
