Miss Li (Ma Yili) lives a single life with her daughter. Beibei (Wu Yue) is keen on dancing tango after divorce. Gloria (Ni Hongjie) is rich and has free time, but her husband is missing. Three completely different women intersect because of Lao Bai (Xu Zheng). Lao Bai, a Shanghai uncle, calls himself a generalist and specializes in teaching elderly people to paint. Lao Wu, Lao Bai's friend, is humorous and pursues romance all his life. Several dinners have made Lao Bai's living room a gathering place for everyone. Three women and two men, in the modern city of Shanghai, use wisdom and humor to depict the diverse life of the city.
