When Salvo was five years old, his father Vincenzo was arrested and imprisoned, and he was sent to live with his aunt. A few years later, Vincenzo was released from prison and brought Salvo back to his side. The father and son were already strangers when they met, but they had to set out together to complete Vincenzo's last mission in southern Italy. As travel companions, the father and son eventually had to face an unavoidable relationship, and it was during this long journey that they seemed to discover the true meaning of each other to themselves.
