The film tells the story of a resentful gunman John Henry Clayton (Kiefer Sutherland) who returns to his hometown to try to make up with his estranged father (Donald Sutherland) and to break away from the shadow of his brother William drowning in an accident many years ago, but he is caught in the struggle of capitalists in his hometown to seize farmers' land. He endured it again and again until the capitalists' men attacked John Henry's father, the pastor, and he decided to take up arms again and eliminate those evil people!
